Regardless of Texas’ high rate of uninsured, where is the investigative reporting of who has been denied coverage or service if they applied for it? Perhaps a portion of the Texas population has made a decision to not have coverage, in the same manner that my employees can opt-out of coverage offered by the company. Health insurance will become the new ‘company car’, a perk that was once offered (driving the auto industry to new heights in the 70’s & 80’s), but no longer offered by many companies. It has been eliminated or reduced to mileage reimbursement or if you are lucky a car allowance.
